What is the Fall Extended Term?

Planning to enroll in the Fall Extended Term? Need a transcript this year? Here’s what you need to know about registration, credit limits and coursework deadlines.

Fall Extended Term courses:

Here's how it works: Register for up to two 3-credit courses. Choose from 20 courses, offered in partnership with American College of Education or Roosevelt University. Enjoy Priority Grading at no extra cost, so you can get your grades and transcripts processed before the end of the year!

When can I register and when is coursework due for the Fall Extended Term?

Registration for Fall Extended Term courses is only available for a limited window and the due date differs from the standard fall term due date*:

  • Registration: October 8th - November 23rd
  • Coursework due: December 9th
  • Grace period ends: December 11th

How many credits can I register for in the Fall Extended Term?

  • You may register for a maximum of 6 credits in the Fall Extended Term.
  • These credits count toward the 15-credit fall term maximum. Your combined enrollment in the regular Fall Term and Fall Extended Term cannot exceed 15 credits.
  • For example, if you have already registered for 12 credits in the Fall Term, you may register for up to 3 additional credits in the Fall Extended Term.

When is my coursework due?

  • All coursework is due on December 9th.
  • A two-day grace period allows you to submit coursework through December 11th.
  • Plan your course schedule carefully to ensure all required coursework is submitted by the end of the grace period.

Are promotions and discounts applicable to Fall Extended Term registrations?

  • No. Promo codes, group codes and any additional discounts are not applicable to Fall Extended Term course registrations. 

Can I re-register if I do not complete my course?

  • No. Re-registration is not available for Fall Extended Term courses. 

Can I cancel my registration and receive a refund?

  • Due to the limited enrollment window for the Fall Extended Term, cancellation requests must be submitted within 7 days of enrollment, based on the course order date shown on your receipt.
  • Eligible cancellations will receive a refund less a $50 non-refundable cancellation fee per course. Cancellation requests submitted after the seven-day window are not eligible for a refund.
  • Consistent with Teaching Channel’s cancellation policy, refunds are not available if you have accessed the course, participated in the course, or submitted coursework in any progress checks or modules, even if your request falls within the seven-day window.
